In control panel under "Sound", "Speaker" is shown on the Playback tab as the default device with a green check mark and "Parallels Audio Controller (圆4)" below it. If I double-click on the "Parallels Audio Controller (圆4)" device, it says "The device is working properly". Under "Sound, video, and game controllers", the "Parallels Audio Controller (圆4)" device shows up. The Windows 7 device manager shows no yellow exclamation points on any of the devices. The input and output device are both set to "Default". I am running Parallels on a 27", Late 2009 iMac, 2.66 Ghz Core i5 with 12 GB RAM on OS X 10.7.4. If you click on the speaker the troubleshooter comes back with "Audio device is disable - Not Fixed". If you hover over it the message "No Audio Output Device is Installed" appears. The speaker icon on the toolbar in my Windows 7 VM has a red x on it. ![]()
